O Mercosul e o compromisso com a democracia em seus estados membros. Questionamentos aos casos: Paraguai e Brasil

In time of political unrest in South America, with the departure of paraguayan president in 2012 and, currently the process of impeachment against the brazilian president, we turn our eyes to Mercosur and how it handles the internal crises of its member States. To do this we must bind to the fact that the bloc considers demcracy, as well as its institutions and the respect for human rights as sine qua non for the continuous process of evolution and integration between the neighboring countries. So here we’ll do an analysis on how the bloc proceeded to the coup claim made by the presidente of Paraguay and, using it as basis, we’ll make conjectures about what we can expect in the brazilian case.
